Tesla (Automotive) Software Engineer (OBD2/UDS Specialist)

We are looking an experienced Automotive Software Engineer with deep expertise in OBD2, UDS Protocol, and vehicle diagnostic communication protocols

We have an mobile application "Digital EV Doctor" to provide access for millions of Tesla car owners to do car self-diagnosis and ECU, BMS reset on car via Phone. 

Tasks

ECU, BMS Reset

• Develop, maintain, and optimize software modules for OBD2 and UDS communication, ECU, BMS Reset

Bluetooth, Adapter, OB2 Devices

• Developing and optimizing communication layers, integrating Bluetooth-enabled adapters, and ensuring seamless interaction between mobile applications and embedded automotive (Tesla) systems
  
• Design and integrate communication layers for mobile applications.
• Work with Bluetooth/BLE to integrate external adapters and ensure reliable data exchange.

UDS

• Implement and test ISO 14229 (UDS)
  

Car Data

• Extract different car data (High Voltage Battery, BMS, HVAC, Drive Train etc) from the car' CANbus
• Decode Car CANbus data into readable format
• Develop diagnostic solution together with our software development team 
  
• Collaboration with our internal team and workshop partners to test and optimize the solution that reads data from the cars and perform resets.
• Collaboration with external partners.
  

Qualifications:

• Background as an Embedded, Automotive, Electrical Engineer
• Background in Automotive electronics

Skills 

• Knowledge, interest in CANbus and Communication protocols (e.g. UDS and OBD-II)
• You understand how automotive electronics work
• You enjoy staying updated with the latest technology in car industry.
• Good understanding of car diagnostics
• You do not need to know everything but have a desire to learn new skills
• We will be helping to develop and train you in these areas. 
• Should able to communicate English
